THREADS OF MY SOUL

The governor ((To Mmusa TheGovernor Moleli, a performing arts activist)

Never met I, never eyed a soul so humble,
whose human soul touches the very
ground on which you walk;
On our planet, others are two faced
but your humility is felt from your very greeting;
Unlike many in your fraternity, never did you
belittle growing talent but pumped it up
with valour and inspiration.
Around you, none felt like an alien,
for you, Humanitarian,
have a heart
bigger than the Mediterranean.

The governor

Lack I a tongue to describe your love for
art in performance and in all its splendors.
Closer to your heart is your community and the growth
of young minds.
Honorable Sire, your spirit is an aroma of
everlasting influence and greatness.
Through you, many artists' ways were paved,
For your work had saved
those whose minds were once enslaved,
so in our hearts your name's engraved.

The governor

Lack I a name to picture-paint what you showed
us on stage. Thought I of: Fire, Hurricane, Earthquake,
Tornado or Volcano - but none of the known nouns qualify to name
your stage craft. It's beyond word description and world comprehension.
Slam lines that woke those sitting in tedium,
Verses that'll make it to the next Millennium,
classics made of steel, iron and aluminium.

The governor.

Your Highness, whenever your name was called,
we positioned our stools, prepared our souls for it was the
moment of the living legend, The Governor.
My Lord, please allow me to honor you
with this token of appreciation👑thanking you
for your outstanding contribution
and your unforgettable eternal inspiration.
Salute.
